WELCOME TO 2025 ASIAN CONFERENCE ON COMMUNICATION AND NETWORKS

The theme of ASIANComNet 2025 is " FIRE-Futuristic Innovation for Rural Empowerment. " The conference aims to serve as a platform for researchers, academia, and industry to share their knowledge across various Electrical, Communication and Computer Science disciplines. Additionally, ASIANComNet will provide a new forum for world-class researchers to come together and share their research achievements, ideas, and the progress needed to tackle future challenges in the field of Information Communications. The conference will be held in Zarqa University,  Zarqa a beautiful city in the Jordan's Zarqa Governorate.

The conference is technically co-sponsored by IEEE and the IEEE Jordan Section. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore, provided they meet IEEE Xplore's scope and quality standards, and will be indexed in Scopus and EI. Authors of papers with very high reviewers' recommendations will be invited to submit extended versions with substantial technical content for possible publication in the Scopus-indexed journal 'The Intelligent Networks and Systems Society,' subject to the journal's peer review process.

ABOUT USS(THE UNITED SOCIETIES OF SCIENCE)

The United Societies of Science (Abbr.: USS, from now on referred to as USS) is a cross-border community for scientists and researchers with openness, equality and inclusion. It was established in 2023, and registered in Hong Kong. USS is a borderless, non-profit, non-governmental organization and its place of registration can be changed due to development needs.

ABOUT ZARQA UNIVERSITY, JORDAN

Zarqa University (ZU) was founded in 1994 in a strategic location to the east of Zarqa City, just six kilometers away, to be the first private university in Zarqa Governorate, with an area that reached three hundred and fifty acres. The University started with six colleges that comprised one hundred and fifty students enrolled in twenty majors. The University comprises forty-four undergraduate majors, and several postgraduate programs in English Language and Literature, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Marketing, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Intellectual Property, Islamic Banking, Administration in Nursing, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The British Accreditation Commission (ASIC) granted the international accreditation certificate to Zarqa University as a premier university after it fulfilled the requirements for obtaining this accreditation in the main criteria.

He has published more than 325 research papers in International journals, International and National conference proceedings, and book chapters. He has guided 21 Ph. D theses so far and examined more than 70  Ph. D theses of various institutes that include foreign institutes, State universities, Central Universities, NITs, IITs and IIITs. He has delivered so far more than 80 invited, keynotes and tutorial talks in International and National conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums and FDP program.

Abstract: Energy Efficiency (EE) and Spectrum Efficiency (SE) are two key performance metrics in the sixth generation (6G) wireless communication networks due to the ultra-massive connectivity requirements in future Internet of Things (IoT) scenarios such as smart cities, healthcare, automation in industries, environmental gas monitoring etc. Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-looks promisig to offer relaible and seamless wirleless link connection  to simultaneously achieve high EE and SE in various applications on challenging wireless environment. To address spectrum scarcity, cognitive Radio (CR) and to meet energy issues, RF energy harvesting (EH) have also been integrated in RIS- CR-IoT communications in recent times. This lecture will talk about scope, challenges and opportunities in RIS-aided SE and EE communications for some IoT applications.
